This weekend was not our favorite. We got a call on Saturday that some blood work we’d done to figure out Hadley’s weight gain issues had shown signs of what could have been a bacterial infection. Next thing I know, we’re packing up for the emergency room with the ambiguous expectations of being there anywhere from an afternoon to an entire week. Like I said, not our favorite weekend. Long story short, after a blood draw, catheter urine test, spinal tap, a dose of antibiotics, and some persuading of the doctors we got to head home. We got the rest of the results back today and little girl is all clear and weighing in at 7lb. 5oz.!
I could spend time going into all the emotions of the weekend, but I’ll just leave it at this: she’s perfect and we’re blessed!

She now weighs what you did at birth! I think she’s gaining weight just fine. She is perfect–fearfully and wonderfully made!

What a rollercoaster from the time we saw you on Friday! We’re so glad to hear that everything turned out okay. I know it’s hard as a mom to watch all that with your little girl. She looks so cute though – I even see a little chub growing on those arms.
